Good Friday is the day that Christians around the world remember the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Roman soldiers took Jesus to Golgotha, the place of the skull, where he was crucified.

Hot –cross buns are popular foods on Good Friday. These are sweet fruit buns with crosses on top. Some people still make these with yeast, but shops now sell dozens in the week before Easter.
