Collective Worship

Worship takes place every day at Copp School.

Monday - Headteacher leads worship which linked to our Christian values or the half termly theme (whole school)

Tuesday - Key Stage worship led by teachers in rotation

Wednesday - WOW (Worship on Wednesdays) with the vicar from our parish church, St Anne's (whole school)

Thursday - Worship through Song. This is an opportunity for our pupils to praise God in song and to understand the meaning behind the hymns we sing (whole school)

Friday - Celebration Worship (whole school)

Speakers from other local churches or Christian groups are also invited to lead collective worship, this being particularly important as many of the children in our care are of other denominations and attend churches other than St. Anne's.

We have strong links with Elswick Church and the vicar, Rev Jim, often comes into Copp to lead worship.

This harvest we will be having a shared service between Copp, St Anne's and Elswick Churches and this will take the form of a Welly Walk to raise money to help prevent hunger in Africa.

We also lead services such as Harvest, Christmas and Easter in St Anne's Church.

Our pupils are encourage to reflect on the meaning of Monday worship in particular and to feedback to the Headteacher.
