What is Copp School Council? (CSC)
CSC is a group of pupils who are elected to represent the views of all children to improve their school. Each year voting takes place for the children who have been campaigning to be elected to the School Council.
2018/2019 was a very successful year for the children in CSC; they worked hard with the Junior Leadership Team to develop our school and begin to make it more sustainable by looking at how we can become plastic-free in the long term. We would like to thank Gabrielle, Maria and Jude in Y6 who led the council well and who have now moved on to high school.
What do we do?
Copp School Council meets around once a month to discuss ways they would like to improve our school, the local and wider community.
Members of Copp School Council will be responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed, such as planning charity events, putting forward views of other children in the school and trying to make a difference to people who are not as fortunate as us.
Bethany and Charlotte (Y2); Leo and William (Y3); Darcy and Lucy (Y4); Cerys, Hannah and Alex (Y5).
Sophia in Y6 is our Chair and Maddison, also in Y6, is our Secretary.
During our first meeting on 12th September, we looked at what is expected of a member of CSC, charities we would like to support and what we could do to improve school. For more information, please read the minutes of our meeting in the Minutes tab.
