Parent Comments

In spring term we sent out a questionnaire to all parents in Reception Class.  Click on the images below to see the answers they gave.

At Copp we value the contributions and opinions of our parents.

- What positive experiences have you and your child had at Copp?

Mr Harding and Mrs Jones formed an excellent relationship with my child before she started school through stay and play sessions, visits to nursery and a home visit. When it was time to start school in September she was familiar with her class and teachers and appeared less apprehensive about starting school. She has settled really well into school life and is happy at Copp.

Mr Harding and Mrs Jones made a great effort to get to know the children before they started school in September. This included sessions with them at school, visits to pre-school and a home visit. I was very apprehensive about my child starting school but i needn't have worried. We discussed what he likes and dislikes, what he can cope with and additional help and needs that he has. They made a real effort to understand him and make him feel comfortable before he started school so that he would feel settled in September. He was so excited to start school and settled in straight away. He loves going every day! Mr Harding and Mrs Jones made it clear that they are both very approachable and willing to help in any way. They made it easy; not only for my child but for myself also. We talk regularly to check on my child's progress and any issues or areas for development. I couldn't have asked for a better start for my child! Thank you.

The Learning Journey books are a wonderful idea, and are a great transition from the books that are completed at nursery. They are full of all the fun experiences the children have had in reception and will be a special record to keep for years to come. It is fab to be able to see the progress that charlie is making and how engaged in all the activities he has been.
